A One-Day Workshop on Computer Aided Engineering (C.A.E) Modeling and Analysis Software

Designing a product has always been a costly matter. Today, engineers use simulation software in designing and manufacturing of most products, processes and systems. Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is a computer based analysis tool for simulating and analyzing engineering products and systems in industries.

At Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI), Induri, Pune, we are going to organize a Basic and Advanced Level Course in C.A.E - Modeling and Analysis Software: PRO/E & ANSYS [F.E.M, C.F.D]. The course is starting from first week of Feburary-2018.

For a basic know-how of C.A.E applications in industry and detailed information about the Course, a One-Day-Workshop is scheduled at TMI on 20th Jan-2018.

Workshop Objectives:

The purpose of this one day workshop is

  •  to make Mechanical/Production Engineering students understand outline of CAE process and career prospects in CAE application.
  •  to provide detailed information about the CAE-course to be conducted at TMI.

About Tolani Maritime Institute:

Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI), Induri, Pune is one of the largest Marine Engineering Colleges in the country with over 1,500 enrollments. The institute has state of the art facilities including ship-in-campus, engine room simulator and own thermal power plant. It offers degree programmes as well as a variety of short-term courses covering marine engineering and nautical disciplines. The institute has been awarded with Grade-1 (Outstanding) by CRISIL and is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute approved by DG Shipping. Interdisciplinary research, consultancy and continuing education programmes are important components of academics at TMI.

Is CAE for me?

If you are a fresh graduate or going to be awarded with a Mechanical / Production Engineering degree in a year or so, this is the best opportunity to add a feather to your cap. This will empower you to carry out design analysis in the industry.

The key to good analysis is knowing the limitations of the method and understanding the physical phenomena under investigation.

What will I Learn from the Course?

This simulation course introduces the CAE and imprints the need for comprehensive evaluation and interpreting results. In this course you will be introduced to the essence of CAE; what it is and why and how confidently you can carry out CAE.

After studying this course, you should be able to

  • perform general procedures to carry out engineering simulation analysis.
  • apply basic and advanced level approach necessary for correct use of CAE.

Who Should Attend?

  • Third and Final year Mechanical / Production engineering and Diploma students
  • Fresh Graduates / Diploma holders
