In view of the directives of the University Grants Commission, Caste based discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited in the campus.
- This page page serves for lodging complaints of caste discrimination by SC / ST / OBC students.
- A complaint register has been placed in the Admin Office of the institute for such purpose.
- A Committee is formed to promptly look into the discriminating complaints received from the SCs/STs/OBC students/teachers and non-teaching staff.
In case the complaint is from any student, a suitable member of the student community may be asked to join the committee.
The Role of the Committee
- To act as Inquiry Authority on a complaint of caste bias discrimination in a time bound manner.
- Provide /Arrange counseling or other support services to the victim
- To ensure that victims and witnesses are not victimized or discriminated because of their complaint.
- To take proactive measures towards sensitization of the staff, students and faculty members of TMI, Induri, on caste issues by organizing briefing sessions once a year and to all new entrants within 10 days of joining.
Procedure for Registering Complaints
- All complaints must be made either online on the email ID info@tmi.tolani.edu webpage or physically in the register.
- The complaint should include: Date, Identity of the harasser, details of the incidences in chronological order, place, incidence, witnesses and what was the reaction/s of the complainant when such act supposedly took place.
- If complaint is made online, Manager HR will inform the Chairperson of the Committee
- If the complaint is made in the register, the Chief Admin. Officer will inform the Chairperson of the Committee
- The Chairperson shall call a meeting of the Committee.
- All meetings of the committee will be called by the Chairperson with a notice of at least 3 working days. In exceptional cases emergency meeting may be convened at shorter notice.
- If a committee member is a complainant, witness, or defendant in the complaint of caste discrimination he/she shall cease to be a member of the Committee and will be replaced by a member of same gender.
- The Chairperson will ensure that proper records/minutes of the meetings are maintained.
Submission of Report
- The Committee shall prepare a report duly signed by all members giving findings and recommendations to the Principal, who in turn will decide quantum of punishment as per Service Rules of Official / Faculty.
