  2. Investigation and improvement on the performance of ships/barges operating in shallow water
  3. Considering the future prospects for ships operating in inland waterways, analyze the use of Air Lubrication System in Shallow water operation.
  4. Based on the recommendation from IMO to enhance the energy efficiency of ships, investigate the use of Flettner rotors for the ships.
  5. Ship and Voyage optimization for reducing fuel consumption
  6. Predictive maintenance of shipboard equipment & machinery to reduce the breakdown.

The naval architecture and marine design services provided by TMI faculty members cover a wide range, including all aspects of ship design and detail engineering, to support various shipbuilding activities and techno-economic feasibility studies.
